The Body Shop recently sent its makeup artist team to create looks for the models at the House of Holland Fall/Winter 2017 runway show during London Fashion Week.

The make-up team was headed up by Ciara O’Shea, newly appointed Global Makeup Artist for The Body Shop. O’Shea says, “I created a colorful, loud and fun eye makeup and married it to glorious skin to give it a statement, modern and wearable finish. It was inspired by colors in the American desert.”

Henry Holland adds, “The beauty look is so integral to telling the narrative of the collection. This look is a modern and bold take on Americana.”

Upcoming Products

The makeup looks were created using existing products in The Body Shop’s makeup line, as well as a few upcoming products that aren’t available yet. O’Shea used Lightening Shade Adjusting Drops; Eye Definer in Pink, Green and Purple; and Matte Lipstick in Sienna Rose.

The upcoming products that the models got a first glimpse of are: Eye Colour Stick in Bali Sunstone, launching in July; Lash Hero Fibers Extension in Texas Topaz, launching in July; and Glossing Drops, which has a launch date that is yet to be determined.

The Body Shop’s makeup line is cruelty-free and made with 100% vegetarian ingredients, with nearly half being vegan. The products are also formulated without petrolatum, mineral oil, gluten or carmine. They are enriched with fair trade ingredients such as honey and marula oil.
